
SmithCRES - Commercial Real Estate Services started in early 2006 as I entered commercial real estate for the first time. I joined the Hager/Noll team, which consisted of 13 commercial real estate professionals under the guidance of Ted Hager and Rick Noll. The Hager/Noll partnership split later 2006 and I picked up the role of partner for the newly formed Hager/Smith team where I helped manage the team, conducted sales and financial analysis training as well as managed my own inventory in upwards of #35MM in commercial hotel and retail property listings. In 2007, as the real estate markets deteriorated I left the team to practice real estate part time while I worked for Valpak Direct Marketing Systems as a Digital Product Developer. During this time I handled several smaller lease deals and kept up on the market conditions for signs of recovery.
In early 2011 I decided to get my broker's license (currently under way) in an effort to make SmithCRES an independent brokerage of commercial real estate and possibly high-end residential. SmithCRES will be realized in 2011 with plans to have 2-3 licensees under the brokerage name. This story is just beginning. Stay tuned!
